Lebanese American epidemiologist visits family back home

Lebanese American epidemiologist Ali Mokdad has made headlines with his research on the coronavirus pandemic. He’s given interviews, presented lectures and given frank advice on social distancing, following the rules throughout the pandemic. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Mokdad about what it was like to finally be able to visit his mother and relatives in Lebanon for the first time since the pandemic began.
