Jollibee’s global conquest

The World

The most popular Asian fast food chain sells a lot of hamburgers, but also sweet spaghetti enhanced with hot dog slices, and shrimp noodles covered in secret sauce. Yumburgers, Jolly Spaghetti and Fiesta Noodles are signature menu items at Jollibee. It’s a fast food joint from the Philippines, founded in 1978, and now the fastest-growing chain in the world. Its mascot is a giant red bee because, as its founder puts it, Filipinos stay “busy as a bee.” The World’s Patrick Winn reports.
