Italian court rules naming children after men alone is unconstitutional 

Italy’s top court ruled last week that children born in the country will be given their mother’s and father’s last names by default at birth. The court declared the automatic practice of only giving children their father’s last name is discriminatory. The World’s Sarah Birnbaum reports on what’s in a name.
