Lawmakers and the public in the United States are deeply divided over Israel and the Palestinian territories. But in Ireland, Parliament voted unanimously to condemn the building of Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories, calling it a “de facto annexation.” It’s the only EU country to do so. The World’s Orla Barry reports on how the Irish came to be strong supporters of Palestinian rights.
