Iranian rapper faces death penalty for support of human rights

Across the world, hip-hop artists speak truth to power through pulsing beats and rhymes. But in the Islamic Republic of Iran, rappers can face jail time, and worse, for their music. Now, a 32-year-old named Toomaj Salehi could be sentenced to death for his songs challenging the Iranian government and supporting women’s rights.
