Iran begins enriching uranium to 20% purity

Iran announced today that it was enriching uranium to 20% purity for the first since the JCPAO nuclear deal in 2015. The decision sparked fears of renewed tensions between Iran and its neighbors — namely Israel and Saudi Arabia. The World’s Marco Werman discussed these developments with Barbara Slavin, director of the Atlantic Council’s Future of Iran initiative.
