Tatenda Ngwaru arrived in New York in August of 2016 with $60 in her purse. Ngwaru, an intersex woman, had fled her home country of Zimbabwe to seek asylum and a safer life in America. She now lives in Boston and visited our studio to share her story with The World’s Carol Hills.
