India’s Supreme Court declines to affirm same-sex marriage rights

The Indian Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to legalize same-sex marriage, dashing the hopes of many in the country’s LGBTQ community. Instead, the Court has asked India’s lawmakers to study the matter closely to better define the rights of queer couples in India. Namrata Kolachalam has the story from Mumbai.
