India’s COVID-19 crisis

The World

India is in a coronavirus state of emergency. The Indian government says that it is seeing more than 300,000 new COVID-19 infections each day, more than anywhere else in the world. And those are just the reported cases. Yesterday, President Biden said that the US plans on sending India vaccines and other aid to help curb the outbreak and prevent deaths. Host Marco Werman speaks with Bhramar Mukherjee, a biostatistics professor at the University of Michigan, and she’s been modeling India’s COVID-19 outbreak since March.
