Authorities in Hong Kong shut down pro-democracy news organization Stand News on Wednesday. It’s yet another blow to freedom of the press in the special administrative region of China, which has seen 50 media organizations shut down operations since the passing of the National Security law. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Tom Grundy, editor in chief of Hong Kong Free Press, about the closure of Stand News and what this means for press freedom in Hong Kong.
