In Russia, COVID cases and deaths are on the rise

In Russia, the COVID-19 trend is moving in the wrong direction. Since September, daily cases and deaths have increased across Russia — with new record highs in both categories. As a result, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a nationwide nonworking period, in an attempt to limit the spread of the virus. Host Marco Werman speaks with Judy Twigg, a global public health expert at Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Russia, Ukraine, and other parts of Eurasia.
