Huawei patent mentions ability to target Uighurs 

The patent language for a piece of Huawei surveillance technology mentions its ability to identify people who appear to be of Uighur origin. Huawei has previously said none of its technologies was designed to identify ethnic groups and that it would alter the patent. Marco Werman speaks with Maya Wang, a senior China researcher at Human Rights Watch, about the reach of Chinese surveillance technology.
