Huawei executive’s extradition trial

The World

A courtroom in British Columbia is facing a thorny question: Whether to turn a Chinese executive over to the US for extradition. It’s been more than a year since Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada on a US warrant. The company’s chief financial operator is wanted by the US because Huawei allegedly violated sanctions against Iran. As the BBC’s Jatinder Sidhu reports, there’s a lot more at stake in a Vancouver courtroom than just the fate of one woman facing trial.
