How the siege of the US Capitol resonates with Germans

Germany and the United States are considered strong liberal democracies. Germany worked hard for that honor in the decades following World War II, coming to terms  with its Nazi past and embracing a full-throated capitalist democracy with the help of its key ally and sponsor, the United States. Now both countries are dealing with an extremist element that is threatening that stability. Marco Werman speaks with Michael Streck, a writer for the German weekly Stern, about how the attack on the US Capitol on January 6 is resonating with Germans and challenging their idea both of the United States and of themselves.
