How Britain banned handguns

Following the deadly school shooting in Dunblane, Scotland, in 1996, families of the victims campaigned for — and secured — a nationwide ban on handguns. Gill Marshall-Andrews, longtime gun control advocate and chairperson of the UK’s Gun Control Network, helped the Dunblane families pressure UK politicians to pass historic gun control laws. She tells The World’s Marco Werman how they kept Britain from “going down America’s road.”
