Homelessness is a lifestyle choice, top British lawmaker says

The World

One of Britain’s most-senior politicians has described homelessness as a “lifestyle choice.” The UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman posted on social media that Britain must not allow its streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of whom come from abroad. Her comments have led to a huge backlash from homeless charities, as The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports.
