High hopes for UN Climate Summit

The pandemic has upended a lot of plans this year — including a UN summit that was supposed to happen in Glasgow this month, where countries were expected to announce ambitious new targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions over the next decade. It was postponed for a year. The United Nations and partner countries are instead hosting an online event tomorrow to mark the fifth anniversary of the Paris climate agreement. The World host Carol Hills speaks to UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed about what UN leaders are hoping to see at tomorrow’s summit.
