Gig workers in Mexico may get more labor rights — but some don’t want them

The Mexican government wants delivery and ride-hailing app companies to make gig workers into formal employees. It’s introducing a proposal to the Mexican Congress that could potentially affect an estimated 350,000 to 500,000 workers. But not all gig workers are for it. Marco Werman speaks to Joyce Sadka, an expert on Mexican labor law at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.
