Ghana’s president waits to sign anti-LGBTQ bill into law

Countries in Africa have some of the harshest and most discriminatory LGBTQ policies in the world. Last year, Uganda passed an anti-LGBTQ law that sparked sanctions from the United States. And now, lawmakers in Ghana recently passed a bill that could lead to a severe crackdown on LGBTQ activities. Ghana’s president is under pressure domestically to sign the bill into law, but could face economic consequence if he does. Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman reports from Ghana’s capital, Accra.
