Ghanaians concerned about possible fossil fuel reduction requirements from COP28

At the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, negotiators are debating whether to sign on to an agreement to phase out or phase down fossil fuels.  A drastic reduction in carbon emissions is the only way to keep global warming from reaching catastrophic levels. Leaders from the US and EU, among other countries, have backed a phasedown, with some qualifications.  But many developing and middle-income countries — including large parts of Africa — say they deserve to exploit their natural resources and develop just like richer countries have done. Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman talks to officials, business owners and citizens in Ghana.
