Foreign powers try to end violence in Nagorno-Karabakh through diplomacy

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia on Friday. It’s the latest attempt to find a solution to nearly a month of fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh, a breakaway region within Azerbaijan which is controlled by ethnic Armenians. Hundreds have been killed in the clashes, and global powers’ attempts to negotiate an end to the violence have so far failed. Marco Werman speaks with Moscow-based reporter Charles Maynes on the latest diplomatic back and forth.
