First female Afghan commercial airline pilot

In Afghanistan, Mohadese Mirzaee is known as the country’s first female commercial airline pilot. Now Mirzaee is in exile in Bulgaria. On the day that the Taliban took over Kabul, Mirzaee was at Kabul airport, prepping for an evening flight to Istanbul. That flight never took off. Instead, Mirzaee ended up on a different flight en route to Kyiv, Ukraine, this time as a passenger. She hasn’t been back to Afghanistan since. Host Marco Werman speaks with Mohadese Mirzaee.
