Joaquín Salvador Lavado, the creator of Latin America’s most beloved comic strip, “Mafalda,” has died. “Mafalda” was often referred to as the Spanish version of “Peanuts.” “Mafalda” is not well-known in the English-speaking world, but almost every Spanish speaker knew the character and her creator, better known as Quino. Lucia Benevides reports from Barcelona.
