Faith in UK police

Confidence in British police has been shaken following the sentencing of a serving police officer for the kidnap, rape and murder of a young woman, Sarah Everard, in London last March. The police advice to women to wave down a bus if they fear an approaching male police officer might not be genuine has been described as “laughable” by women’s rights groups. The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry has more.
