On Australian Facebook today there is a total news blackout. Media organizations in the country aren’t allowed to post news and users aren’t allowed to share it. And they can’t access news from international organizations, either. Facebook imposed these restrictions on Thursday. The move is being widely condemned and comes in response to legislation that would force Facebook to pay news publishers for content. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports.
