Evo Morales’ socialist movement returns to power in Bolivia

Celebrations stretched past midnight last night in Bolivia’s capital of La Paz after exit polls showed the country’s socialist party far ahead in the presidential election. The votes still have to be confirmed, but centrist candidate Carlos Mesa conceded to ousted leader Evo Morals’ hand-picked socialist candidate Luis Arce.
