Extreme heat has been wreaking havoc across Europe all summer. So far, thousands of people have died due to heat. Temperatures rising above 100 degrees Fahrenheit for weeks have plagued cities that don’t have the infrastructure to handle them. To discuss the matter, The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Wouter Vanneuville, a climate change adaptation expert at the European Environment Agency, joining from Copenhagen, Denmark.
