EU proposes carbon border tax 

The European Commission on Wednesday proposed a tax on imports of products that require lots of carbon emissions to produce. It would be the first carbon border tax in the world, and it’s sure to face challenges by EU trading partners who export steel and other carbon-intensive goods. The World’s environment correspondent Carolyn Beeler speaks with Marco Werman about the announcement.
