El Salvador: ‘One step away’ from dictatorship

When El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele addressed the UN General Assembly this week, he warned wealthy countries that they can’t “give orders” to those less well off. Bukele recently announced he’d seek reelection despite a constitutional ban. Carlos Dada, director of the Salvadoran digital news outlet El Faro, tells The World’s Marco Werman that Bukele is “one step away” from being a dictator.
