Eating pufferfish is risky business

It’s pufferfish season in the seas around Southeast Asia. In the more-tropical part of the region — Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines — fishing boats are catching these spiny sea creatures. Most will throw pufferfish back, but some will bring them to market, serving niche groups of customers who love eating them — even though experts warn that you might not want to do that.
