Dogs from Chernobyl adopted in the US

The World

Hundreds of stray dogs live in the exclusion zone around the Chernobyl power plant — the descendants of pets that were left behind after the nuclear disaster. Lucas Hixson is the co-founder of the Clean Futures Fund. His organization is arranging for the rescue and adoption of a group of Chernobyl puppies. Host Marco Werman speaks to Hixson about the program.
