Denmark revokes residency status of Syrian refugees

The World

Denmark  has become the first country in the European Union to revoke the residency status of Syrian refugees. The Nordic country is home to around 35,000 Syrians, most of them refugees fleeing the Assad regime.  Now, the Danish government says, Damascus and surrounding regions are safe, meaning hundreds of Syrians may be forced to leave.  The decision has been condemned by the EU, US and several human rights groups, as The World’s Europe correspondent Orla Barry reports.
