Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has been in prison for several months. In February, Navalny was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in a penal colony, on trumped-up charges. Since then, the Putin critic has suffered poor health — he went on a 23-day hunger strike to protest the lack of medical care in prison. Now, the Kremlin’s anti-Navalny crackdown continues; prosecutors on Friday labeled Navalny’s movement an extremist organization. Host Marco Werman speaks with Navalny’s chief of staff, Leonid Volkov.
