COVID cases surge in China

In China, COVID-19 cases are surging again. The country tallied more than 28,000 cases on Tuesday, the highest since April. There have also been five COVID-related deaths in the past week, the first since May. China is sticking to its “zero-COVID” policy, though The World’s Rebecca Kanthor tells host Marco Werman that some tweaks that were meant to standardize policies across the country are causing confusion.
