Connecting with Haitian heritage

The World

Singer Malou Beauvoir was born to Haitian parents in Chicago. Her childhood was spent in the US and in France, two countries with connections to Haiti’s history. But it’s Haiti that she most connects to in her music. Singing to her people and the Voodoo spirits in Creole, all with a disco backbeat. Marco Werman spins us a track from her latest album, Spiritwalker.
