US President Joe Biden is offering pardons to thousands of people convicted of marijuana possession under federal law. Yesterday, he called on senior officials to review how the drug is categorized under federal law, and encouraged state officials to decriminalize it. In some ways, the US is unique in its approach to cannabis policy. To discuss, The World’s host Carol Hills speaks to Rosalie Liccardo Pacula, a drug policy expert at the University of Southern California and president of the International Society for the Study of Drug Policy.
