We think of the fall of the Berlin Wall as marking the end of the Cold War. But it was actually a summit 30 years ago today in Malta between George H.W. Bush and Mikhail Gorbachev that declared the end of the era. Michael Dobbs was the Moscow bureau chief for the Washington Post and remembers that historic meeting.
