Climbers say ‘COVID-19 is rapidly spreading’ on Everest, while Nepal’s government denies any positive cases

It’s climbing season at Mt. Everest. Last year, the season was canceled due to COVID-19. But this year, Nepal’s government opened up its side of the mountain, despite concerns over the ongoing pandemic. It didn’t take long for COVID-19 to appear at base camp. And as The World’s Bianca Hillier reports, the situation is only getting worse.
