‘Chinatown’s on life support’

The World

In the weeks leading up to the mandated shutdown of all restaurants in New York City due to the coronavirus outbreak, one neighborhood in Manhattan was already feeling the business side effects: Chinatown. Grace Young is a James Beard award-winning cookbook author. She went to Chinatown to gather stories from business and restaurant owners about their experiences. Some of them are collected in the blog “Coronavirus: Chinatown Stories” in collaboration with Poster House.
