China seeks to limit freedoms in Hong Kong

China says it will introduce a new national security law in Hong Kong that looks set to limit freedoms in the territory. There are few details about the proposal, but reports suggest it would ban “subversive” activities. There are already calls in Hong Kong for protests against the planned legislation.
