China abortion policy

It was a single line in China’s recently announced 10-year plan for improving the lives of women. But it caught the attention of many. Instead of a policy where abortions are widely available, now, the government has pledged to “reduce abortions conducted for non-medical reasons.” Columbia University professor Leta Hong Fincher, author of “Betraying Big Brother: The Feminist Awakening in China,” discusses what the measure means with The World’s Marco Werman.
