Chile law compensates victims of femicide

In April, Chile passed a new law to compensate the families of women or girls who are killed because of their gender. The law is considered a major victory for the government’s progressive agenda. It’s also setting a new legal standard in a region where femicide rates are high. Host Marco Werman speaks with Beatriz Nice of the Wilson Center about how the law works and why it was so important to pass in Chile.
