Children of Windrush

Commemorations in Britain mark the 75th anniversary of the arrival of a ship from Jamaica, the HMT Empire Windrush. The passengers had come to England expecting jobs and a better life, but also experienced racism and discrimination. From 1948, more Jamaicans followed in the wake of Windrush, including the parents of Evadney Campbell, who tells her family’s story to host Marco Werman.
