One of the country’s most powerful and influential men has died. Hotel and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson was 87. Adelson spent part of his sizable fortune backing conservative candidates and causes, and he was a major donor to President Donald Trump. When it came to the relationship between Washington and Jerusalem, there perhaps was no single person who had as much behind-the-scenes political sway as Adelson.
