Canadian superpigs threaten northern US

Northern US states are on alert for an invasion of wild pigs that threaten flora and fauna — and are difficult to stop. These wild boars were bred with domesticated pigs to develop so-called “superpigs” capable of surviving Canada’s cold. But now they are in the wild, threatening crops across the Canadian plains. Host Marco Werman speaks with Ryan Brook, who leads the Canadian Wild Pig Research Project at the University of Saskatchewan, about the superpig population that is causing authorities to be on the lookout in Montana, Minnesota and North Dakota.
