Canada’s murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls

The World

The conclusions of a long-awaited national inquiry into murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls concludes that Canada is “complicit in race-based genocide of Indigenous women and girls.” Marco Werman talks about the report with Hilda Anderson-Pyrz, who represents the families of First Nation communities in northern Manitoba. Anderson-Pyrz took part in the national inquiry by testifying about the death of her sister, Dawn, and the pain and frustration so many Indigenous families in Canada feel over the lack of attention to their family members’ deaths.
