The resolution was presented over the weekend by the Tory Party asking the government to stop granting citizenship to people born on Canadian soil. Host Marco Werman talks to Bashir Mohamed, a Somali-Canadian writer based in Edmonton. Mohamed was born stateless in Kenya to Somali parents. The issue is important to him because he believes, without birthright citizenship in Canada, there would be an increase inf stateless people.
