Calls to “save Christmas” in the UK make people of other faiths feel ignored

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a number of pronouncements justifying strict lockdown rules to “save Christmas.” Now he’s loosened emergency coronavirus restrictions to allow members of up to three households to gather so Brits can have some semblance of normalcy for the holiday season. This has made some people of other faiths feel a bit miffed. They say their religious holidays are being ignored. Marco Werman speaks with British writer and activist Mariam Khan, editor of the anthology, “It’s Not About the Burqa: Muslim Women on Faith, Feminism, Sexuality and Race.”
