Britain considers direct rule of British Virgin Islands after arrest of its premier

The United Kingdom is considering a form of direct rule over the British Virgin Islands after the Caribbean territory’s premier was arrested last week in Miami on suspicion of drug trafficking. British Foreign Office Minister Amanda Milling was met with protests on Monday during an emergency three-day trip to the overseas territory. Marco Werman speaks with Christopher Malcolm, former attorney general of the British Virgin Islands, about what direct rule by Britain would look like and what reaction has been to the idea.
