Scientists say the Northern Hemisphere is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet as a result of climate change. The effects of that are visible in Iceland where glaciers have been steadily melting for years now. But a climatic anomaly in the North Atlantic ocean, dubbed the “Blue Blob,” could extend the glaciers’ existence by several decades, offering humanity more time to reverse the Earth’s warming.
