‘Blue Blob’ in North Atlantic is cooling Iceland

Scientists say the Northern Hemisphere is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet as a result of climate change. The effects of that are visible in Iceland where glaciers have been steadily melting for years now. But a climatic anomaly in the North Atlantic ocean, dubbed the “Blue Blob,” could extend the glaciers’ existence by several decades, offering humanity more time to reverse the Earth’s warming. The World’s Gerry Hadden reports from the Langjökull glacier in Iceland.
